Business Career Summary

Joe Woods qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers (formerly Craig Gardener) in 1975. In that same year Joe established his own practice in the Naul, Co. Dublin and subsequently merged with Owen Sweetman in 1985. The merged firms of Woods Sweetman set up in Balbriggan and have grown from strength to strength and are now one of the largest Chartered Accountancy firms in North Co. Dublin.

Joe is the Partner in our Balbriggan office and overseas directly the management and development of the following key practice areas:

Personal Interests

• Joe is married to Ettie with two children Joseph and Rudi.
• Joe has been heavily involved with the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) for the last 35 years and has refereed at two All Ireland football finals.
• Joe has been Dublin’s number one referee from 1985-2000.
• Joe has also refereed in the United States, Canada, England and Scotland.
